The Faint returns to the Showbox in Seattle…again?

Yeah, thats what i was thinking at first? i had heard a tease of the new Faint album – not so stoked – and i’m thinking to myself, “ive seen them how many times now? can they really top their last show?” Well, the show was at par but incredible as usual. SO much energy coming from the stage and the crowd… i love the way the bassist thrashes around on stage and our lead singer, a cross between Phil Collins, Elton John, and Billy Idol, just moves his body like a 5 year old high on tic tacs, dancing for the first time, pretending that no one knows can see him. They opened with “Agenda Suicide” and played all the late and greats, “Wet from birth”, “Paranoia”, “Glass Dance”, “Take me to the Hospital”… no “Erection” but i was satisfied.
Their opener “Natalie Portman’s Shaved Head” came in with a couple random crappy songs but as they got warmed up and the crowd followed suit i started to get into it… there is a guy that does most of the vocals and then a girl who came out for my favorite of the night, “Sophisticated Side Ponytail”, and Tre’s favorite “Beard Lust”. Anyhow, they are a Seattle band so go get un-bored and check them out.
