Yup, another one of those films. Don’t get me wrong, i LOVE food!…but its good to know what we are putting into our bodies…or not putting into our bodies for that matter. Our government and our textbooks tend to leave out certain details, so i appreciate the time and energy that people put into supplementing our education and promoting awareness…its up to us to decide what to do with the information. Each unto his own, right? Anyhow, give er’ a look see.
Scored some fresh green onion, zucchini, rainbow chard, pears, berries and people watching galore… come with me next sunday to the Ballard Farmer’s Market, Support the local farmers, they’re good peeps.
Yay for knowledge… anyone who has read the Omnivours Dilemna or simply enjoys knowing what’s in the food they put in their mouth, you may appreciate this movie. Found this on CrossFit Whistler’s blog.

…or drink them…especially ones called the “BFC”. Sorry…no wait, no i do not apologize to you Monster, Redbull, or any of you who prey on us thru your ingenius marketing campaigns, your impressive athlete rosters, and badass events that i attend so regularly. It is you who i have to thank yet you who i also get to put on trial.
life? what’s the meaning of life? what are we all doing here? there was a time when the meaning of life was all about survival and reproduction. we lived to hunt and gather so we could eat and procreate. well, thanks to commercialization of the food industry we now eat more for entertainment, out of boredom, for the convenience and for gods sakes in excessive amounts. don’t get me wrong, i love eating, but i am a mere product of the same machine you are. as much as we all hate all the fad diets out there these days, i’m beginning to connect the dots, noticed any reoccurring themes?
anyhow, since the meaning of life isn’t to eat and survive, how about we stop eating like it is?
call me up for a coffee, a drink, a good happy hour menu in west seattle and i won’t say no, but thats just cause i love my friends and i can’t say no to a good conversation…but don’t take it personally if i’m not smackin’ down on some wings or going sip for sip on the Monday night drink special…and if i am, i must think you’re extra special.
